Planning with our firm is a holistic experience, and the only avenue to success is one that involves our clients from day one. We follow a simple and directed four step process:

Step 1: The "NOW" Analysis

We analyze your information and determine where you are today, what planning you had done prior to meeting us and the priorities and expectations you have moving forward. This provides the groundwork for NorthStar Wealth Partners ability to analyze your opportunities to help you get to the financial destination you choose.

 

Step 2: The Bearing Point

After the initial phase of analysis is complete, we produce a written point of reference document that helps to guide you to the next discussion. We will share our professional perspective on what you've done well, where we can provide greater clarity and the opportunities that exist. At NorthStar we pride ourselves on critical listening as we strive to better understand how to weight our findings in terms of their importance to you, and their relevance to our work together. The weighting exercise is critical in determining the depth of our vast array of services that will be applied to your personal situation.

 

Step 3: The NWP Guidebook

Your comprehensive and usable guidebook is presented in plain English so that you, your family and anyone else important to your financial life will clearly understand your situation and our short and long term objectives. The guide-book, in its entirety, will serve as our shared plan to take actions and implement strategies that will move the needle toward your final destination in a prudent and meaningful way. We only move to our final step once you have reviewed and agreed in principle to our thoughts and recommendations in the guidebook, or make appropriate changes as necessary.

 

Step 4: The Compass Check

After our work on the guidebook is officially complete we move to our final step, when we make the recommendations that you have agreed to a reality. This is the step where product strategies are applied as you direct. Complimentary advisors are involved as necessary to change and update documents, and the guidebook itself comes to life. Clearly this step is the most meaningful in the process because it is the real payoff to a transparent and succinct effort to make your journey through life everything it should and can be.
